Suma Yoga Institute, a registered Yoga Institute in Dehradun, Uttrakhand, India has yoga teacher training courses where Yoga trainees from various parts of the world can attend nonresidential 500-hour (6 months) yoga teacher training courses. All yoga practitioners are welcome and encouraged.
This course is created for individuals with aspirations of becoming yoga teachers and is appropriate for any individual wishing to further expand their yoga practice and is deeply devoted to spiritual growth and understanding.
It is a well-planned and structured combination of hatha yoga and ashtanga yoga. The teachers who are an integral part of the training process make sure that their experiences enrich yours and you end up possessing strong qualities.
Throughout the course, students will learn Yoga Alliance and Ayush-approved curriculum in a nurturing and supportive classroom environment. Students will leave the program with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to become a yoga teacher.

6. Meditation (Dhyana)
Meditation is a systematic practice that promotes physical, mental, and emotional tranquility with the purpose of reaching Samadhi (self-realization).
7. Yoga Cleansing (Shatkarma)
Introduction to yogic cleansing exercises is important to learn how to incorporate your breath and meditate properly during the physical aspects of yoga. It also removes the blockages in the energy channels.
8. Anatomy and Physiology (Sharir Vijnan)
The proper understanding of the physical body will help to prevent injury before, during, and after practice. Also helps you to train people with specific requirements
9.Yoga Philosophy (Yoga Darshana)
Yoga Philosophy is the foundation of asana practice and is the key to earn yogic strength. Through the path of Vedanta Philosophy, you will establish a solid, well-rounded yogic life.

Students will take turns practicing their teaching skills by performing in front of their peers and teachers.

In addition to class attendance, participants are required to volunteer in various Camps, Satsangs, Kirtans. Students have to read, study and prepare submissions and presentations, as required.
The YTTC is a course of 900 hours spread over the period of 6 months, including instructional program, internship program, self-study, self-assessment, and final evaluation.
The 550 hours of instructions are completed by holding classes as per the set
This is an advanced and comprehensive training course conducted in English. The course is quite intensive and students are expected to complete the course curriculum in 6 months.
On completion of full class attendance (minimum 170 days) and all other prerequisites, an examination shall be conducted and successful students will be awarded certificates.
The syllabus of this course is to provide a strong base of yoga philosophy with a comprehensive approach to the science and technology of yoga.
After successfully completing the course, YTTC certificate holders will be qualified to conduct Yoga sessions.

1. Accommodation
A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. The practice and especially the teaching of yoga demands a high degree of self-discipline and purity. To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures, and asana classes. Meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and nudity are prohibited during the course. Participants who do not comply with the school rules may be dismissed from the course.
